Magazine Submission

re: directory submissions - you can get into the directory by applying to the magazine, or wait for a Directory Call for Art.

ABOUT THE CALL for art

Deadline: Sept 30, 2023.

Eligibility: anyone who is or identifies as woman, non-binary, LGBTQ+, any ability, any country, any race and ethnicity, no education required, any level

Fee: pay-what-you-can, suggested fee 35 USD, minimum $3 (the cost of hosting the website and forms for submission)
We always charged $35 as that's what it costs us to pay for writers, designer, curator, print costs, and offer a print copy discount for published artists. It also helps us to pay for some printing and other publishing costs (we are non-profit). If you are able to, we hope that you can help the next artist in need by offering a little extra. We are trying to make opportunities accessible to all and be mindful towards financial situations of historically impacted communities.

Your entry will be considered for the following:

  • feature in All SHE Makes international magazine's curated art section (print & digital)

  • Studio Visit interview with Erika Hess of I Like Your Work podcast in our magazine and ILYW website

  • free lifetime membership in All SHE Makes curated directory (that comes with another set of benefits) to all published artists

 PLEASE READ THE INSTRUCTIONS, TERMS & CONDITIONS BELOW CAREFULLY:

  • Make sure to proofread your entry, as it is not possible to make changes after it's been submitted. Everything in this form will be published as is.

  • One entry per discipline, please.

  • You can submit up to 3 images plus extra of your studio, headshots, or process photos for possible extra features throughout the magazine. Image specs are highlighted in the submission form below.

  • This submission DOES NOT guaranty a feature of any kind and is non-refundable unless you made a mistake and would like to withdraw your entry.

  • You are always welcome to reapply for the next call for art free of charge if you did not get selected the first time.

  • Only submit your original work.

  • If work is selected, All SHE Makes reserves the right to use images of the artist’s work on pertaining print media, websites, social media, promotional materials, and interviews with credit to the artist. All rights to the images remain the property of the artist.

  • Dates: Sept 30 - deadline. 
               Oct 15 - notifications sent out regardless of the decision (please check spam)
                December - publication dates. Published artists will be eligible for a discount on a hard copy and complimentary digital issue. You will receive a draft to review prior to printing. Original publication estimate was May-June.

  • Non-compliance with instructions or terms can disqualify the entry.

Current All SHE Makes directory artists/previously published artists - see private membership page for a code to submit without a fee. You received the password in your directory or magazine acceptance email.

  • In case of form malfunction, please submit via this link. 

  • If payment is giving you script error, your JavaScript is disabled - please use a different browser or device (laptop always work better than mobile).

  • If your submission went through, you will see either of: Thank You page, email confirmation (check spam), processed payment (check your financial institution).

  • If still having issues after you’ve checked the steps above, please email submissions@allshemakes.org and we will reach out.
